We want your vacation to be a memorable one so please let us help you plan your day trips. We will provide you with driving itineraries and maps and anything else you may need for your many outings.

There are many exciting things to do in and around Coffe Cove and we also offer some activities right on site such as long walks on the beach, digging for muscles, bonfires and muscle bakes, beachcombing, and of course plenty of space for just kicking back and relaxing and enjoying the view.

By all means explore even further and see everything Central Newfoundland has to offer...the possibilities are endless.Take The Road To The Isles, The Road To The Shore, tour The Bay of Exploits and The South Coast...the list goes on and on!

White Water Rafting On The Exploits River

If you are real thrill seeker, join the popular Badger Chute River Rafting Tour located just a 50 minute drive from Springdale. The tour is designed for both first-timers and experienced rafters to enjoy, and it provides a great way to enjoy the thrill of whitewater without being an expert paddler. You will have the opportunity to swim throughout the day as well as at the Badger Chute and at the halfway point, they stop on a rock island to enjoy a hearty picnic lunch, kick back and relax! During lunch children and adults can explore, swim and surf the raft. Rafting the Exploits River is sure to be the highlight of your Newfoundland Vacation! Sea Kayaking/Mountain Bike Tours/Canoeing

Seeking thrills and adventure? Apenwood Tours located in Springdale can take care of that craving for you. They offer the ultimate sea kayaking adventures which brings you up close and personal with whales and icebergs. They also offer mountain bike tours and canoeing. Customized packages are available as well. Aspenwood provides all equipment and gear for your excursion. I'm sure their tours will fascinate and thrill you.

Back Country Tours

Rob Clarke Motorsports based out of Springdale (15 minute drive) offers guests a chance to explore our rugged back country on ATV or UTV. Guided tours or rentals are available. Over night excursions also available. Check out their website for all the details. www.robclarkemotorsports.com.

Lobster Boil-ups

Experience picking your own lobster from a local fisherman (in season); bring it back and we will set you up with all the tools to boil up your lobster over an open fire. It's an experience you will always remember

Indian River Fishway

Explore the beautiful Indian River in Springdale and see the rapids and the falls at the Indian River Fishway which you can access through the George Huxter Memorial Park.  See salmon jumping upstream in the spring on their way to spawn.  To explore the river further you can take the boardwalk at one end of Springdale which meanders from the harbour up and along the river (approx. 3 km. long).

Hiking Trails

The area is full of extremely well maintained, scenic walking/hiking trails and we are just a short 2 1/2 hour drive away from this famous landmark, Gros Morne National Park. Take A day and tour the park. Enjoy a scenic hike or take the popular Western Brook Pond boat tour through the famous fiords.

A Day in Kings Point

Kings Point, an enjoyable tourist hub, is also part of Green Bay and is definitely worth the drive. It is a 25 minute scenic drive to Kings Point from Coffee Cove. Once you have arrived in Kings Point you can spend the day hiking the famous Alexander Murray Hiking Trail taking in beautiful sights along the way and eventually ending up at the beautiful Rattling Brook Falls. Visit Kings Point Pottery and maybe have lunch at By The Sea Resort & Cafe. The humpback whale pavillion is also located in the village. Salmon Fishing

Indian River with salmon fishing access just a short 15 minute drive from the retreat. Indian River offers some of the best salmon fishing in Central Newfoundland. We have a licensed guide on site.

Queen Street Dinner Theatre

After a day on the golf course why not take in an evening of entertainment at the Queen Street Dinner Theatre, also located in Grand Falls.  Centreal Newfoundland's finest dinner theater is sure to entertain and amuse you.  Visit their website to see what shows are playing this season and for their show schedule.

Golfing

For all those die hard golfers visiting our area, Grand Falls has an 18 hole golf course that's sure to please.  Grand Falls Golf Club will book your Tee time or walk ins are welcome as well.  Visit their website for full golf course details.

Little Bay Islands

Experience the way of life of a Small Island community and many other Interesting attractions the island has to offer with its endless hiking trails and look out points. Take a ferry over to Little Bay Islands  and/or Long Island, and spend a day exploring. It makes for a great day trip. It's just a 45 minute drive to the ferry dock.

Route 380

Take the scenic Route 380 all the way to Brighton and visit all the quaint harbourfront towns and everything they have to offer along the way. Roberts Arm will be your first stop with its cozy seaside village offering a gift shop, the Hazelnut Adventure Trail and a Heritage House.  Next stop is Pilley's Island.  While on Pilley's Island, take the 5minute ferry over to Long Island for a unique experience.  Long Island offers 2 island communities and is rich in Beothuck history.  It offers the Beothuck Hiking Trail which is a coastal hike with beautiful scenery.  Triton will be your next stop, another seaside town which offers many tourist attractions.  While in Triton take in a lunch or dinner at PJ's Bar & Grill which features an outdoor patio overlooking the harbour.  Stop for food and stay for the fun.  Just 5 minutes drive from Triton is Brighton which is unique in itself and offers a small parkette with trail to a lookout point.

Newfoundland is also well known for its many lighthouses and you are sure to see many during your travels here.  Check out the website link above to view all the lighthouses in Newfoundland.  Maybe you have a favourite that is a must to see during your holiday with us.
